DESCRIPTION: This is uncut rough nodule of very rare Australian volcanic opal from the eastern coast volcanic area. This opal is from my personal collection, it is more than 5 year old stock it is stable as it has been stored dry. Only a limited amount available.
The colour play is predominantly red and green flashes with some orange and blue through the entire super clean and clear opal body. The colours flash, flicker and roll as you move the opal. Please note contra luz colour play is viewed best in sunlight or strong artificial light. The colour play in this opal can be viewed even in dim light. Gem grade rare collector item.

This opal is truly rare, very limited amounts are availabe, that is due to opal mining in Australia was never developed in these areas as opal miners seemed to head to the more proven areas such as Lightning Ridge, Coober Pedy, some of the Queensland boulder opal fields and others.
