In this type of auction, buyers bid until the auction ends. The item will sell to the highest bidder at the end of the auction period. Bidding starts at $1, and the seller must sell the item to the highest bidder.

These auctions are what people experiences at house auctions, where there is a hidden reserve price that must be met before the item can be sold.
