Verified Sellers Listing Guide
Listing Guide For Verified Sellers
All Verified Sellers must adhere to the Listing Guide when submitting items for sale on Opal Auctions. We encourage you to read our Listing An Item - What You Need To Know help article to fully understand what information must be included in your listing.
The following website specific rules have been introduced to uphold the high standard of products being sold.
Many of the rules below have come about due to the subjectiveness of certain terms in the Opal industry. These rules are in place to ensure our customers receive a consistent and accurate product.
Taking photos of Opals is very complex since the Opal itself interacts with the light to create colors. However, the main aim of the images is to correctly depict the Opal that is for sale.
Image & Video Rules Specific To Opal Auctions
All listings must have at least two photos from different angles or one photo and one video of the item.
All listings must have a photo or a video with a hand (without glove). This gives the customer a fair idea of what the stone will look like in real life since there is a skin tone to compare against.
The main picture must be a photo of the item
The photos must be of the actual item being sold. Generic, stock or bulk/multi list photos are not acceptable.
Images must provide an accurate representation of the item and not be over enhanced.
The photos of the item must be yours, not from another person or website.
