What Is Your Favourite Opal Ring?
Opal rings have been set for hundreds of years and even today there are many old designs that are still popular from cluster settings of several opals in one ring to Princess Diamond design which has a focal opal with Diamonds around them.
Modern day opal rings are designed to show the opal as the focal stone and might have just few diamonds on the sides to compliment the opal. Sterling silver opal rings today are mostly Doublet or triplet opal and solid opals are mostly white fire opal or crystal opal and inlay is now popular also. In gold opal rings only the best opal is set, especially high cabochon black or crystal opals.
- Boulder or is mostly flat and has little cabochon but still make unique freeform rings.
- Most boulder opal is set in bezel set designs where as black is mostly claw set designs .

- Top crystal opal is also inlay ed into gold rings and some inlay gold rings have gap on bottom so can fit finger 1-2 sizes larger as these rings can’t be resized.
- Cluster rings are popular as this s uses several small opals but when all joined in a setting the visual impact looks good, diamonds can also be added to cluster design rings.
- Most rings claw set can be resized but bezel rings are difficult to resize.
- Ethiopian welo opal is ideal gemstone opal for silver rings for males or females.
- Fortunately most Ethiopian crystal opal has high cabochon so ideal for ring and bezel set looks very attractive and wearable.
- Silver Ethiopian Opal rings made 925 silver and hand made bezel are popular and represent good value .
- Ethiopian suppliers and Ethiopian wholesalers now make this beautiful opal in ring settings and matching pendants and earrings.
- The rolling flash pattern of Welo opal, which is rare in black opal is available at a reasonable price so a high quality ring compared to black opals.
- Buy Ethiopian ring direct from jewelry manufactures and jewelry wholesalers..
In the fashion world rings are the most stylish and personal type of jewellery. The opal industry is no exception. Patterns vary from one person to another and jewellery settings from one person to another. It is safe to see that you will never find someone with the exact same accessory.
Opal rings vary dramatically in price depending on the type of opal(white, black, boulder, ethiopian)the brightness of the colours and patterns and whether or not the opal has been treated. The most common colour hues of an opal are green and white, while black and red are the rarest.
