SOLID BLACK OPAL FROM FAMOUS LIGHTNING RIDGE OPAL FIELDS . SOLID NATURAL BLACK OPAL WITH GOOD STRONG COLOURS GOOD SIZE 13 X 10 AND 3.25 CTS WITH HIGH CABOCHON 3 MM GOOD RING STONE THIS OPAL WAS JUST MINED FROM OLD

MINE THAT WAS CLOSED YEARS AGO. MY NEPHEW TOOK OUT THE THE PILLARS THAT WERE SUPPORTING THE ROOF TO GET THIS OPAL. THE PILLARS ARE APPROX 3 FOOT WIDE AND SUPPORT ROOF SO WHEN EARTH TAKEN OUT IT MAKES BALLROOM UNDERGROUND AND IS DANGEROUS AND RISKY JOP JUST TO GET THESE OPALS,BUT THE QUALITY OF THE OPALS IS GOOD SO WORTH THE RISK.
