GEM CRYSTAL ROUGH  

This is a piece of rough  opal mined in Lightning Ridge showing a beautiful strong  crystal pattern.We believe this was a piece of  fossil vegatation possibly roots so you can make out some growths on it..The rough has only been  slightly faced and placed in a tumbler.It is now ready for pre shaping to your desired shape  ready for polishing.I would recommened this for the more experienced cutter not because its difficult to cut but because it is quite rare material.Ideal for advanced inlay work or it can be cut in to doublets or solid stones.This material is from a top field called Jag Hill.
