PERU  BLUE OPAL ROUGH
A grade with dendritic inclusions

Peru blue opals were found in 1983 in a cooper mining operation in Lima Acari-production has now ceased. The colours range from neon blue to mint green to clear with all shades in between. Some have dendtritic [fern like] inclusions that make interesting stones. It is fine traces of copper trapped in the crystal structure thats gives it the color.
The rough has been taken dry.
Sky blue colour.

DENDRITIC  The patterns are found in microscopic fissures that cause them to branch out like tree limbs or fern like which is usually a iron silcate.

We have taken the photo wit the rough wet

This is the national stone of Peru

Just received my purchase in the mail. Extremely underwhelming. The size of the earrings are deceiving and the clarity of the opals are not as advertised. Paul I’m very dissatisfied, more importantly disappointed because this was suppose to be a gift.

A perfect seller. Shipped immediately, arrived quickly, and was very securely packaged to prevent any damage. And the opal itself was even more fantastic and vibrant in person than it was in the photos. Oh, and thank you for the great gift!

Why are users outbidding themselves?

When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.

When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.

Audit

The Opal Sheriff program allows our members to request an audit on any product, which is completed by an independent Gemologist who assesses the accuracy of the item description and pictures.
