NATURAL POLISHED OPAL FROM WINTON QLD AUSTRALIA
The opal occurs as a filling or lining between the concentric layers or in radial or random cracks in the ironstone, or as a kernel in smaller concretions or nuts.
The Winton opal field is known for the very distinctive type of boulder opal that is found in its mines.
Rich in history, Winton was originally known as Pelican Waterhole and was first settled in 1875.
The town is best known as the place that Banjo Paterson wrote Waltzing Matilda in 1895, whilst at Dagworth Station outside Winton.
Each opal is individually cut and polished by hand with time and care taken to get the best possible finish in the OPAL.
All our opals are taken in a light box with no adjustment to the pictures or videos. The opals are generally better in real life than in the pictures and videos, we are sure you will be very happy once you receive your beautiful opal.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.
