This is a gem grade and also collection grade piece of fossil opal from White Cliffs. It’s in fact a part of Belemenite (fossil squids) which is very bright and stunning with all colours. So it can be a beautiful collection or cut into gem.

Yeah, the second piece looks very promising to be a shell.

Parcel was full of potch with only a couple of rocks that look like opals. Most of the rocks are off cuts and some are rubs with no colour. Someone cut them, rub them & then put them on auction. Extremely bad experience.
