Andamooka Rough Matrix with crystal opal deposit - Treated once but treatment did not take well - 360cts

Crystal opal deposits are on the back of the piece with one deposit 15mm length; 7mm width; 3mm depth.

Depth of the piece ranges between 1mm to 23mm with an average of approximately 15mm.

There are a few cracks throughout the piece which can be seen on the pictures and the video. Some of these cracks contain seam opal. Would make a lovely specimen piece.

Our Matrix is treated using 3 steps: 1) Sugar bath; 2) Sulphuric acid treatment; and 3) Acid Neutralisation.

You can cut and shape this matrix into stones of your choice, but it may require retreatment afterwards. Matrix is sold without polish and as such photographs are of wet matrix unless otherwise specified.
