ETHIOPIAN DOUBLETS

This is a doublet parcel that has cracked stones in it-We sent the material to asia and they polished them dry so they crazed on the last polish.You have the optiopn to re cut to smaller stones or to treat with opticon.The larger oval stone would cut 2 nice stones from it.This is a doublet made from natural welo crystal mounted on to ironstone backing.We have cut the crystal a bit thicker than we would on a australian doublet.This opal is hydrophane [absorbes water] so in wet weather it will look brighter.This is doublet  parcel is showing good fire of  BLUE GREEN  ORANGE RED .
