BOULDER OPAL
This is a natural untreated boulder stone that has been well polished and drilled.
It was mined in Koroit Queensland.This stone was mined in the claim called "elusive' that was featured on out back opal hunters tv show. The miner called the claim this as the opal was elusive hard to find. This stone has a beautiful colour called" orange ochra". This colour is from a mineral containing iron. Iron oxides are used by aborigine's in there paintings .
It is a stunning piece showing unique pattern and good vein fire.
The weights and sizes are approximate.
There is some reflection from the artificial lights on the stone.
