This is a rough piece of the new Stayish deposit of black opal in the Welo region. This type of opal is naturally black (not smoked) and not hydrophane (they don’t absorb water like most Welo opals). This opal may have some cracks/crazes and has therefore been marked a specimen. Pictures were taken indoors using lamps. Pictures haven’t been worked on except for cropping.
