All top-shelf, hand-selected Mintabie dark-base gem-cutter stones and chips, these were personally selected as the best and brightest, from a special collection mined by one of our Mintabie associates down under! - EVERY PIECE is as good as it gets. Amazing dark-base opal full of THICK BRIGHT fire (Many are as bright as opal gets) with vivid color and intensely beautiful patterns!

We only provide fire, truly unique, cuttable material that have exceptional potential to make absolutely marvelous gems out of, that face clean and shine bright with ever-changing color!

These rough gems are perfectly sized for making solid dark-base opal gems for rings, pendants or collection! In my experience cutting many of these they are full of fire and face beautifully, and cut absolutely amazing gems with bright, beautiful color. I have cut many and not one of these stones hasn’t turned into a beautiful gem - in fact, I wear a beautiful ring i made with an opal I cut from this lot on my finger 24/7! The photos of the parcel are of the material but these are assorted parcels so the stones are already randomly assorted - parcels are chosen at random and consist of the same quality and batch regardless of which. Stones have a dark layer of potch and crystal fire.

These photos and the dark-base Mintabie rough in the video is what the parcels are made from - while there are larger stones scattered amongst some parcels, expect mostly small to medium sized rough that will produce nice ring-stone sized stones once cut. I have more Mintabie dark-base rough from the same batch that is mixed in and may not be in the photos but is in the videos.

Dark-Base Parcel: 15ct of extremely bright, fiery stones (thin sand on both sides with layers of dark potch and a thick crystal layer with bright fire sandwiched in the middle) Lots of really dark opal with Fire, absolutely exceptional material and truly a cutter's delight. This rough contains stones which create dark-base opal stones.

Slightly larger than the crystal, with an estimated average size of ~10mm x 9mm x 7mm (some may be larger and some may be smaller but all are THICK, BRIGHT and FIREY - sizes of stones will vary parcel to parcel - I make sure all stones going into my parcels are of the highest quality before randomly sorting them.
