SEDA ROUGH OPALS
This is a untouched opal rough direct from the miner in lightning ridge.This miner sunk a hole down and bottomed on opal so that why it has the opal dirt [soft claystone] still attached which is quite rare. We have not rubbed it down so there is a chance of a nice stone for you to discover.
This rough mined in Lightning ridge from a opal field called allawah. .

Some of this material has black centers but you cant tell until you rub it.

After 30 years experience of rubbing down and cutting thousands of opal we value the rough as what we believe it will cut-However you are dealing with nature so some stones will come out worse than i expect-if you are dissapointed with your experience please let us know so we may be able to rectify it.
