INDONESIAN WOOD FOSSIL OPAL SPECIMEN

This is a piece of natural opal polished i purchased on my last trip to Banten. It is a opalized wood fossil and a top specimen.

This stone is volcanic in origin. It is a common practice here for sellers to put baby oil on the stone but we have wiped it dry. i believe they do that as the finish on most stones isnt high and it does hide pits ect.

We did add some water to it but as there is oil on the stone you can see it sits on the stone.

This materiel loves strong sunlight-it a dim light there is very little colour play. The video was taken under halogen lights.

Top collectors stone.
