This parcel mostly includes opal from Coober Pedy and Lightning Ridge. There could be material from any Australian location.
This material is the cast-off material from the shop over the last two years. Please look over the video and pictures well. There is some untouched rough that could have a chance, albeit low, to produce something worth cutting. Rubs to nearly completed stones were included if any issue was noted. Any issue a person could think of could be a reason for material being added to this parcel. Some are blown out with sand, many have crazing and cracks, some lack sufficient color.
This material is suitable for practice. The material might have use for inlay and should produce some pointers and a fair amount of picture stones.
Sizes range from chips to about 20 mm.
All opals sold by Opal Workbench are solid Australian opals.
Photos and videos are taken with a phone, under artificial light. Although the goal is to always measure accurately, measurements and weights are approximate and may have minor variations. This opal/parcel has not been certified or professionally graded; therefore, descriptions of brightness and body tone may vary.
Special Notes:
Coin is an American quarter that has a diameter of approximately 24mm (shown for scale only).
Material weighed dry.
Some photos/videos are taken wet.
please study carefully before cutting.
Full refunds if material is returned complete and unaltered per return policy.
All measurements are approximate. (Total weight is a minimum. Usually, one to five carats of material have been added beyond total weight.)

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a person is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on behalf of the bidder, incrementally increasing the bid up to the maximum to maintain their position as the highest bidder.
When there is an icon indicating 'Automatic Bid', it means our system is actively placing bids for the bidder based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if bidders are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the bidders maximum limit.
