This Sunflash Black Opal comes out of Lightning Ridge, found in the middle of the sandiest piece of potch I have ever ground. It has beautiful blues, with a bodytone scale of about an N2, Brightness of 1, as the colors do show, but are “ghosted” until in the right light, or under sunshine. Very dark stone, but not quite N1. When that blue escapes, it is a beautiful little flash. Blue is the only color that flashes within, but it is a beautiful blue!
