This is a opal doublet made from a Coober Pedy crystal shell fossil and mounted on to natural boulder ironstone.You can make out the shell appearance of the high dome and undulating side .Millions of years ago Australias out back was covered in a inland sea.These stones are a part of the skin of a shell fossil that was opalized .The shell is from the cretaceous period over 100 million years ago.The stones follows the contours of the shell so they are undulating.Showing strong pastel colours.
It will make a interesting talking piece when set in jewelery or as a collector specimen.

NegativeI had an issue with FedEx not delivering my package and when I contacted them I was told to figure it out and that if the package got returned to them over $100 would be deducted from my refund. I got my package, but I will no longer buy from this seller.
