The Item You Are Buying: Is a single piece of rough opal from Mintabie for cutters/carvers. This stone has some really nice colour including rare pink/magenta but there is cracks so will most likely only cut a pointer or two if anything or leave it as a small specimen.

The mines are shut down now all but a few miners remain working there so this material is getting increasingly more rare.
