OPAL DOUBLET PARCEL.
DOUBLET
This is a doublet made from natural crystal opal mined in Coober pedy . They are mounted onto a natural ironstone backing.. They are ideal to set in calibrated jewelery settings or around a feature stone.
These we cut over 10 years ago and we have just bought thousands of them-they were mounted on cards with glue tack which is time consuming to remove so we left it on. You can just scrap off with the finger. The weight of the parcel is a estimate with out the glue tack
As a general rule doublets are meant to sell for 10% of the price of a solid opal but we sell our for much less.
The weights and size listed are approximate.
