MATRIX ROUGH

This is a natural piece of boulder matrix from Opalton Queensland Australia. This material has precious opal embedded in the ironstone and usually is easy to get a top polish on.As the opal is through the stone it is easier to polish than boulder opal which may have only a thin colour bar on top.It should be fun to cut this stone. You can cut stones from it make beads or do some interesting specimens or carvings.

We have taken a photo of the stone wet.

As with all rough it should be viewed with a bit of a gamble. Some of this material has gem colour in the end of the nodules which can be a pleasant surprise. Some of this material can fall apart when you start to rub it down. This is from tiny fractures that are in some stones. Some cutters use super glue over the stone before cutting or soak in resin but if treated it should be declared as so.

As with all our stock if you arent pleased you may return it for a refund provided it hasnt been touched in any way.

Why are users outbidding themselves?

Automatic Bid icon
Automatic Bid

When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a person is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on behalf of the bidder, incrementally increasing the bid up to the maximum to maintain their position as the highest bidder.

When there is an icon indicating 'Automatic Bid', it means our system is actively placing bids for the bidder based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if bidders are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the bidders maximum limit.

Audit

The Opal Sheriff program allows our members to request an audit on any product, which is completed by an independent Gemologist who assesses the accuracy of the item description and pictures.
