We grade our Honduran opal in 3 grades A, B and C but we only offer A and B grades for sale. The opal at Erandique is found in matrix seams that penetrate the basalt or trachyte rock in a near vertical fashion. Sometimes the opal fills irregular gas holes and horizontal cracks as well.
